In God We Trust

Open the attachment and listen to this...A song some radio stations are banning.. The song you are about to listen to is from a Diamond Rio concert held in Vegas . They received an immediate, resounding standing ovation, and continue to do so every time they perform it! Sadly, major radio stations wouldn't play it because it was considered "politically incorrect." Consequently, the song was never released to the public. So, America , see what you think. If this offering speaks to your heart and you feel you want to share it with friends and loved ones, please do.

I never get political on here but enough is enough. Don't you agree?

Beautiful song, it's sad that it doesn't get heard and the reason is really sick.

Yes Susan it is awful that they want to take God out of America since this country was formed for religious freedom.

I will never understand how a Country that was founded for religious freedom could get turned upside down by people trying to kill our religious freedom????

I remember when they first talked about taking prayers and Sunday school lessons out of our schools. I was one of those that kind of chuckled and thought there is NO WAY that anybody could or would even want to do that! But see how Wrong I was??? Those "church lessons" that the kids had in school were the ONLY time that some children learned anything about love and honor and respect. So look now that all that is gone and everyone keeps asking what is wrong today????

I have always loved Diamond Rio. I'd like to comment since I am likely the only atheist who reads your blog. The belief that this country was founded on religious freedom is correct. The pilgrims were trying to get AWAY from having religion forced on them. They wanted to make their own choice. Our founders were diests, not Christians. While a majority of America is Christian, the "nones" are growing in number every year. The majority is used to having their way because people were afraid to stand up for themselves when they believed differently (as is the case with all minorities in history until finally they rise up). Christians have been able to do whatever they want for so long they feel entitled. When other religions (muslim, paganism, etc) want the same freedoms afforded to themselves, Christians have a double standard. Prayer was not allowed in school not just for Christians but for ALL religions. (and let's face it, people can still pray in school, it just can't be school led) Would you be angry if our money said "in Allah we trust?" Yes, because it's not what you believe. Why should ONE religion be represented by the government? It's best not to represent any. I'm not trying to be argumentative, just trying to present another side. :)

I would like to respond. I understand the USA has religious freedom. That is what makes our country great. My compaint is that the song was BANNED from radio stations. I have the right just like any other to HEAR a song, any song .If you don't want to listen to it turn it off or change the channel. Use the delete button on your computer. My point is don't choose for me. My rights are being taken away. Your rights weren't. We never BANNED them from leaving when schools prayed. In fact it was mentioned alot if you wanted to leave do so. I recall a few students leaving while we did have prayer and bible readings in school. No one ever said anything to them . It was their right to do so. What gets me upset is to please those who don't believe they want to take my freedoms away.
If I don't agree with something I am hearing I turn off the TV ratio station or even walk away. That any one can do, even you.. But not be given that choice is taking my freedoms away. Don't you agree?
